1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FOCL ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FOCL is a wedding photography management platform that helps photographers organize shot lists, timelines, people, and vendor information for wedding events. The Service includes web and mobile applications for planning and day-of shooting assistance.

3. User Accounts

To use FOCL, you must:

• Create an account with accurate information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Your Data

You retain ownership of all content you upload to FOCL, including wedding details, shot lists, timelines, and contact information. By using the Service, you grant FOCL a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

We take data protection seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can export or delete your data at any time through the Settings page.

5. Client Galleries

FOCL Galleries lets you deliver photographs to your clients. In using it:

• You keep ownership of your photographs. You grant FOCL only the licence needed to store, process, resize and deliver them to the people you share them with, and to display them where you have chosen to feature them.
• You are responsible for the rights and permissions covering the photographs you upload and the people who appear in them, including any model releases and any consent required for the optional photo-search feature described in our Privacy Policy.
• Galleries expire. New galleries are set to expire twelve months after creation by default. You can change or remove that date at any time from the gallery's settings. An expired gallery stops being viewable by the people you shared it with; it stays in your account, and you can extend or remove the expiry date to bring it back. Expiry on its own does not delete anything — where photographs are removed, the notice described below applies. FOCL is not a backup service — keep your own copies of your originals.
• If your subscription ends. Your galleries stay online and downloadable for at least 90 days after a paid subscription lapses. After that, if you are storing more than the free allowance, galleries may become temporarily unavailable to the people you shared them with, until you resubscribe or reduce your storage — they become available again as soon as you do. Accounts within the free storage allowance are unaffected and stay online.
• We do not delete your photographs quietly. Whatever the reason — a lapsed subscription, an expired gallery, or an account left dormant — your photographs are kept for at least 12 months, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before anything is removed. A full export of your galleries and your account data is available at every stage, including after a subscription has ended and after a gallery has stopped being viewable. Being over your storage allowance while subscribed never removes or hides anything — it only stops new uploads.
• Anyone with a gallery link can open it unless you set a password. Treat gallery links as you would any unlisted link.
• You may not use Galleries to store or distribute unlawful material, or material you do not have the right to share.

Where you enable the print store, orders are fulfilled by a third-party print laboratory, and their production and shipping terms apply to the finished goods.

Reporting infringing or unlawful material is covered by our Copyright & Content Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious content or attempt to breach security
• Share your account credentials with others
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Scrape or collect data from the Service without permission

7. Sharing & Collaboration

FOCL allows you to share wedding projects with other users (e.g., second shooters, assistants). When you share a project, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share the information contained within it. Shared users will have access based on the permission level you assign.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep FOCL available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We recommend using the offline features for critical wedding-day operations.

9. Limitation of Liability

FOCL is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost data, missed shots, or any impact on your photography business. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups and contingency plans.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our data retention policy (30-day grace period for account recovery).

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
